What makes me give ‘thumbs up’ to HBO Defined

I’m sure you guys must have heard about this channel, ‘HBO Defined’ that HBO India recently launched. If you haven’t, then Good Morning! So, what made me write this blog post is the unconditional love that I feel for this channel. I’m sure after reading my reasons you’ll also start falling for it.

Of all the things, one ultimate thing that makes me say so is the fact that HBO Defined is the first ever channel to go ad free. Yes, that’s the word. So tell me honestly, aren’t you already in love with it? For me, it was surely love at first sight. 

And while I’m going gaga over this very fact, it’s not the only reason that makes me go for HBO Premium Pack as there is another first that HBO Defined is adding to our movie watching experience. And it is the fact that now you have the option of watching movies in Hindi or English. Yes, you heard that right. Believe me, watching English movies in Hindi can sometimes be serious fun. I am pretty sure no other channel in India has this property.

Ad  free movies channel: Check! Dual language movie channel: Check! What’s left? Aren’t you forgetting the basic ‘high definition’ feature? Well much to  your delight, it’s very much there. And  don’t let me get started on the list of movies and series they are showing. Take my word, you are not going to get disappointed here. Amazing movies with awesome IMDB ranking- that’s what you need and that’s what they give. Other than this, the usual HBO Original series can really make your day. Well it did for me. Recently they premiered the season 3 of ‘Game of Thrones’ which just ended a couple of days back. Hallelujah!

Talking about the premieres, ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’, ‘Madagascar 3’, ‘The Hunger Games’, etc.- these are a few movies that got premiered on HBO Defined. And soon they are going to premier Johny Depp’s ‘Dark Shadow’. Isn’t it exciting? So many amazing movies and that too ad free. Seems like a dream… but it’s not! Yuhooooo!

One thing that I’m sure of is if you love movies then I’m sure as hell you’d be hopelessly in love with HBO Defined. ‘HD English movies and that too ad free!’ You don’t seem to have much option to not like it.

And after this much debate, I’m sure you do want to subscribe to this channel.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted – Coming Soon on HBO

‘I like to move it, move it…I like to move it.’ Madagascar, it is. And the happy news is soon HBO India is going to premier this animated English movie in June.

This fun song really makes me move. And as much as I love this tune, I’m all in for the movie too. ‘Madagascar’ was the first Animated English movie that I ever watched. I am not much of a fan when it comes to animated movies. But because my cousin insisted, I had to go for it. And to my surprise, I loved it way too much. So, the best decision! It’s a super funny movie that makes you roll over the floor laughing your a** off. This flick has appealed to me so much that I’ve not missed any of the movies from this trilogy.

The best part for me is the star cast. From Ben Stiller to Chris Rock to David Schwimmer, it has it all. I especially love to hear ‘Friends’ fame David Schwimmer. Ross does suit in the role of the giraffe, Melman. Like really! And Ben Stiller as Alex, the lion. Now how cool is this!? It does take out the kid in you.

And as I remember the fun times while watching this flick, I’m delighted to tell y’all that HBO India has a plan to showcase the premiere of Madagascar 3 in June. Terrific, huh! I’m really thrilled. Though I’ve already watched it on big screen… who cares, it’s Madagascar we are talking about. And I am totally ‘Physically Fit, Physically Fit…Physically Physically Physically Fit’ to take part in the Madagascar madness.

To give you a little background, in this part, Alex (the lion), Marty (the zebra), Gloria (hippopotamus) and Melman (the giraffe) are back again and this time their fight to get to their beloved Big Apple takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a travelling circus. The whole movie revolves around a circus which is losing its glory among the audience. And the job of this 'Madagascar' team is to reinvent the whole circus- the Madagascar style. And the thing that I loved is- the tagline.. It says: ‘Six years ago, they disappeared without a trace. Next summer, they finally resurface.’ Makes sense, huh?

While the movie is on its third part, it doesn’t lose its original effects. The penguin squads are very much there. And they are always there to save the day. Apart from this, the usual plot is also there and the jungle theme doesn’t lose its effect.

All in all, you will love this movie… for sure. An adventure-comedy-animation stuff that will definitely leave a smile on your face. I’m so glad HBO is premiering it soon. To know exactly when, you and I’ll have to stay tuned to HBO. And may I repeat that it really leaves you saying… just move it, move it. ;)
